NBWA announces second annual ‘Share Your Story’ contest for first-time convention attendees

May 9, 2014Jason Morgan

The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) announced the return of the Share Your Story Contest for beer distribution employees who have never attended the NBWA Annual Convention. The contest is intended to highlight many of the 130,000 men and women who make up the beer distribution industry, from truck drivers, inventory specialists and graphic artists to sales representatives, fork lift drivers and receptionists.

The winner will receive a complimentary trip to NBWA’s 77th Annual Convention
What’s your story? The winner will be recognized during the Convention’s General Session and also will be prominently featured on the NBWA website.

“The American beer distribution industry is strong because of the amazing people who work in it and the passion they have for the work they do in communities across the country,” said NBWA President and Chief Executive Officer Craig Purser. “It’s incredible to hear their personal stories that make all of us proud to be a part of this great system, and NBWA is looking forward to sharing those stories.”

To enter the contest, beer distribution employees will submit a video entry (no longer than two minutes) that explains why they love working in the beer distribution industry, what they do, how long they have worked in the industry and how their career began. Details may also include how their company positively impacts their hometown, how new products and technology have changed their jobs over time, and any colorful stories that paint a picture of the vibrant jobs in the beer distribution industry.

Entries may be submitted via the online entry form at www.nbwa.org/contest until August 1, 2014. Please contact NBWA Communications Assistant Gabrielle Gosselin at [email protected] or 703-683-4300 with any questions.

The winner will be notified mid-August and will receive a complimentary trip to NBWA’s 77th Annual Convention at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans in New Orleans, Louisiana, Sept. 28 – Oct. 1, 2014.
