Dream Arcades dreams big with beer-dispensing arcade cabinet

August 23, 2013Jason Morgan

We’ve seen a bar put the focus on beer and video games. We’ve even seen video games that pour your next beer. But for video game purists who want the high scores and craft beer suds to flow freely, there’s the Dream Arcades‘s Kegerator Pro 60. The world’s first arcade machine with a 60-inch HD screen that features three taps, so players never have to stop the action to refill their drink and a built in fridge.

Craft Beer Video Games Dream Arcade

The unit comes pre-loaded with over 140 classic arcade games including Ms. Pac Man, Centipede, Galaga and Street Fighter — no quarters needed.

“Dream Arcades has been making arcade machines for over a decade and the Kegerator Pro 60 will appeal to anyone that wants to combine their love for classic gaming with a cold, frosty beverage,” said Michael Ware, president of Dream Arcades.

Not content with merely emulating video games, the 60-in. LED HD screen can also be used to surf the internet and watch movies. The unit also comes complete with built-in MP3 software, so the arcade can double as a music jukebox. The three taps included allow players to have their choice of three different beverages. The arcade also features two built-in cup holders so players can keep their drinks topped off while keeping one hand on the joystick.

You’ll have your work cut out for you plowing through the games, and rest assured thes are the actual games that were played in the arcades, not fake reproductions. Gamers can add even more games to their machine by purchasing additional titles in “packs” including classics from Midway Games (including Mortal Kombat) and Taito Games (including Space Invaders and Jungle Hunt). Players can also add classics such as Q*BERT and Golden Tee Golf. The following is a sample of the games included:
